LDWF, Gulf Council and CCA Louisiana Host Recreational Angler Participation Sessions

(Jan. 7, 2014) – The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, in conjunction with the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council and CCA Louisiana, will host two Recreational Angler Participation sessions in Louisiana, where the public is urged to attend and voice their concerns, ideas and potential solutions regarding federal fisheries management in the Gulf of Mexico.

The meetings are informal and are designed to encourage open communication amongst anglers and fisheries managers.

CCA Louisiana will have an active presence at both meetings, and will be providing some expert guest speakers from across the state for each event.  Speakers include Dudley Vandenborre, Dennis Bardwell, Chris Moran, Billy Broussard, and Steve Smith, just to name a few.  This will be one of the most informative fishing discussions around, so be sure to mark your calendars.

CCA Louisiana will also be providing complimentary food and beverages at the meetings in addition to door prizes and giveaways.  Food will be served prior to the meetings when the doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The meetings are scheduled as follows:
